Michigan beat two top-10 teams in the final week of February. The Wolverines will try to pick up another in their first game in March.
Michigan hosts No. 4 Illinois on Tuesday at Crisler Center. Tipoff is scheduled for 7:10 p.m. ET with a possible delay until 7:15.
The second-ranked Wolverines have won seven in a row, including five since a multi-week pause. They are 18-1 overall and 13-1 in the Big Ten. After beating then-No. 4 Ohio State on Feb. 21 and then-No. 9 Iowa on Feb. 25, Michigan went to Indiana on Saturday and won 73-57. That a 16-point win on the road over a team with NCAA Tournament hopes seemed so routine says a lot about this Michigan squad.
Illinois (18-6, 14-4) is coming off a 74-69 road win over then-No. 23 Wisconsin on Saturday. One more Illinois loss or one more Michigan win would give the Big Ten regular-season title, at least by winning percentage, to Michigan.
