It’s not just politicians lining up to meet Volodymyr Zelenskyy, Hollywood stars are getting in on the act.
The actor Ben Stiller was in Kyiv Monday in his role as a U.N. goodwill ambassador, and went to meet the Ukrainian president.
The “Zoolander” and “Meet The Parents” star told
Zelenskyy: “It’s a great honor for me. You are my hero. You quit a great acting career for this.” Zelenskyy was a famous face in Ukraine before he took office, starring in “Servant of the People,” a sitcom about an ordinary man who became an unlikely president.Stiller isn’t the first celebrity to meet Zelenskyy since Russia invaded. Ukraine-born actress Mila Kunis and her husband, Ashton Kutcher, had a Zoom call with the president in March. In May, U2’s Bono and the Edge performed a concert in a subway station in Kyiv.
